  • "Very pleasant" 5/5

Know that you will be well looked after by this quaint old world charm hotel. Staff was very knowledgeable, fluent in English, respectful of those of us who try to remember our years of French class. Rooms very clean, washrooms very nice and modern. I have very pleasant memories of this stay.

  • "Very good value for money, near metro, english speaking staff" 4/5

This is a very good value for money, nicely refusrbished old hotel in Paris. It is located just between Viliers and Rome metro stations so it takes apoprox. 2 minutes to walk to reach any of them.
Taking into consideration hotel standard in the old Paris (i.e. small rooms, small lifts, limited choise of breakfast, hardly English speaking staff), the Hotel is just OK with nice relatively large rooms, English speaking staff and good location. Breakfast are standard with a limited choise of food. If you look for a "standard" 3 star hotel with you should either pay a lot more or go to suburbs of Paris. Especially staff is very good, helpfull and speaking very good English (definitely not a standard in Paris). The hotel is conveniently located with 6 restaurants (Japanese, Thai, Italian, Spanish and two Fench) and 3 cefaterias located within one minute of walk. Quite street no traffic noise. Definitely great place to stay!

  • "Excellent" 5/5

Very nice staff who are happy to talk english. Great location, metro is two minutes away. Rooms are small but very cozy and romantic. They are clean and nice. The breakfast is so delicious that I want to be in Paris again. I give it five stars.

  • "Gem of a small hotel" 5/5

For my first visit to Paris I relied on my travel agent to find an affordable hotel that allowed for walking and easy access to the sights. My friend and I stayed three nights at this hotel and found it to be perfect! It was our fifth hotel of the trip and by far had the most comfortable bed of all- we slept just as if at home! The room was small which meant it was very efficient for us. We kept our stuff neat and organized which meant easy packing on our last day! The bathroom was especially nice, brightly lit and very clean. But best of all were the desk personnel. SO friendly, helpful, fluent in English but enjoyed conversing with my friend who was getting better and better with her French. On Saturday they anticipated that we would need an airport shuttle for Monday and made all the arrangements. A modest, but very adequate breakfast was included in our room rate, but our friends rate didn't include breakfast- so make sure you ask. Was much preferential to being charged 16 euros each for a breakfast buffet in Avignon when we just wanted a small breakfast.

  • "Really nice, Recommended" 4/5

The hotel is down a quiet side street off a big main road, close to two Metro stops and lots of cafes and shops. Our room was small but smartly decorated, with a nice bathroom and lovely comfortable bed. If you are an English speaker you only have a financial channel on the tv and there wasn't much of a view (we looked down over an enclosed space between buildings) but on the plus side this meant it was very quiet and we could leave our huge windows open when we were out without worrying anyone would be able to climb in...anyway there are much better things to do in Paris than sitting in your hotel looking out of the window or watching the tv! Receptionists were very friendly and helpful and housekeeping did a great job. We booked online with a room-only deal so can't comment on breakfast. Because we were so close to the metro we could be right across town within minutes so we couldn't have chosen a better location. Would go back.

  • "Extremely parisian" 5/5

We loved the location , in a very convenient, beautiful area of Paris. I had great jogging in the Parc Monceau. The hotel is traditionnally decorated and the staff pleasant and helpful. a free computer with internet access.

  • "Great location - Great staff" 5/5

Affordable neat hotel. We got fantastic assistance from the staff, very friendly and spoke excellent English.

Location was perfect for us, close to restaurants and super close to train line. We couldn't have asked for more.

Actually it would have been great to have access to a laundry service, we didn't have time to access a laundromat ourselves. But of course this didn't affect our stay at all.

  • "The Place to stay" 5/5

Fantastic hotel - very clean and comfortable with very friendly and helpful staff. It is very central and easy to find, within 5 mins walk of either the Villiers or Rome metro stations. In one direction, Montmartre/Sacre Coeur a nice walk - maybe 30-40 minutes easy and interesting; in the opposite direction, Arc de Triomphe/Champs Elysee maybe 15 minutes including a lovely walk through the Parc Monceau. If you dine locally avoid Wepler - terrible food and service; couldn't get out of there fast enough, especially when you can do so much better. Theo is great - but 'A Table' is fantastic and will remain one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Europe - try the chocolate fondant dessert, it's to die for!

  • "Friendly hotel, ideal for visiting Paris" 5/5

The rain poured, the wind howled but the weather could not dampen our spirits or the staff at the Hotel Du Theatre.

On arrival we were met by the receptionist who was very friendly, spoke very good English and once we had booked in then continued to handout guide books, business cards so we would always be able to contact the hotel if we managed to get lost, brochures recommending various places of interest and directions to the metros (there were two within 5 mins walking distance) so we could commence our sightseeing almost immediately. We were made to feel very welcome indeed.

A small hotel but our rooms were clean and comfortable and all the staff were very accommodating and always on hand to assist.Once our visit was complete the same receptionist ensured a taxi was avaialble for our return to the airport and that we and all our bags were on board before waving us off.

The surrounding area had shops, restaurants, bars and an open air market and made a change from the hustle and bustle of central Paris.

A hotel we intend to use for future visits to Paris and one we would reccomend.

  • "Good hotel" 4/5

Location: The hotel is located very near the train station so it was easy to commute by train. There are restaurants and small shops around the area.

Staff: The people (especially the guy named Soura) were accommodating and are ready to help guests.

Room: The rooms are quite small but cozy enough. There are no aircons but when you leave open the windows, they are more than enough.

Breakfast:There were 4 selections of breads, there were also cereals, juices, hot choco and coffee. quite good for me.

Extras: There is free wifi in the room which I think is really helpful. The rooms have television but I think there was only one English channel.

Overall, I will recommend this hotel.
